Why do we collect this information?

We process your personal information for the following reasons:

  • carry out our obligations arising under these terms or under our separate contracts with third party manufacturers and/or garages (such as the assisting with the delivery of information or products to you);

  • provide your information to manufacturers/ third parties in order to facilitate the fulfilment of any third party’s obligations under your contract with manufacturers;

  • provide you with our services;

  • process payments;

  • maintain business and service continuity; and

  • send service communications so that you receive a full and functional service and so we can perform our obligations to you. These may be sent by email. These will include notifications about changes to our service.

  • On the basis of your consent:

  • where we rely on your consent for processing this will be brought to your attention when the information is collected from you;

  • to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about goods we feel may interest you. If you are an existing customer, we (or they) will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiations of a sale to you. How long do we keep hold of your information?

  • We will keep information about you for a maximum of 6 years after the end of our relationship with you unless obligations to our regulators require otherwise or we are required to remove such data from our records.

  • Instant message records. We will keep these up to 12 months from the time the recording was made

Who might we share your information with?

For the purposes set out in the Why do we collect this information? section above, we will share your personal information with:

  • manufacturers referred to or named on our site for the performance of any contract such third party manufacturers enter into with you;

  • delivery companies (such as DPD) for the purposes of fulfilling your order;

  • garages selected by you for the purposes of fulfilling your order;

How is your data stored and kept secure?

We do share your data with organisations such as Amazon who are based outside the EEA, however where we do so we will ensure that those organisations have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your data, such as (in the case of organisations based in the USA for instance), requiring that they are signed up to Privacy Shield or have signed up to EU model contract clauses.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.
